What is an Estate Sale?

An estate sale is a sale that takes place in the  client’s residence. We take our time appraising, displaying, and  pricing all the items in the sale. We like to display the items in a  way that brings respect to them and their owners. These sales are  generally held over a weekend.

We operate all of our sales on a first come/first serve basis.

Is an estate sale better than an auction?

It depends. In an estate sale, we take great care and  time displaying and putting our hands on each item. We can control the  prices for items. In an auction you cannot control prices, which can be  good or bad, In an auction, your items are usually placed in boxes,  stacked on tables in your yard, and lined up in your yard.

Estate sales can generally  be set up just as quickly as an auction, though if the sale requires  extensive cleaning and you’re short on time, an auction may be best.  Auctions are also best for estates that belong to smokers.

I’ve decided to have an estate sale. What do I need to do now?

Take what you want to keep and hand us the keys! We’ll take care of everything else!

How much will an estate sale cost me?

We charge a commission on  all proceeds from the sale. We pay all our labor, advertising, and  supply costs out of that commission.  If your estate requires clean-up  at the end, we may charge an additional fee.
